Leopard Hill

The conservancy and community get a share of what you pay, which felt good to know. The rest of our honeymoon at Saruni Leopard Hill was wonderful too. The camp is peaceful, with lovely views and an outdoor shower, and we felt at home from the minute we arrived. Esmey was a warm, knowledgeable guide who was keen for us to enjoy ourselves. On our first night drive we got within about 5 metres of a male lion and a pride of lionesses and cubs. It was one of the best experiences of my life. We also saw elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, hippos, Nile crocodiles, warthogs, hyenas, buffalo, leopards and plenty more. I haven't been on other safaris to compare it with, but I was blown away. On a walking safari we got fairly close to giraffes and their young, with Maasai guards and an armed park ranger there for safety. The staff were so warm and seemed to care about our stay as people, not just as part of their job. William, the general manager, and Maasai guards William and Patrick were all friendly. Sorry we didn't catch everyone's names. Charity and Lillian looked after us at most meals, and head chef Dalton cooked three-course breakfast, lunch and dinner to perfection. We also had a complimentary massage with Caren, who was great. I could go on, but it's better to experience the place yourself. We'd love to return. Thank you to the whole team!

Our plans changed unexpectedly, and the Saruni Leopard Hill Camp team handled the adjustment with real flexibility. They made the whole thing easy and stress-free. We spent two lovely nights there. William, the camp manager, made a point of welcoming us and keeping everything running smoothly. The whole crew was warm and attentive, and their hospitality made us feel at home. Edward guided our game drives. He was professional, knew the Masai Mara wildlife extremely well, and his sharp eye helped us see amazing animals and learn about the ecosystem. The drives were memorable. The camp's setting was beautiful too, and the people clearly love their work. We'd happily stay again.

We started our honeymoon at Leopard hill, and it was such a peaceful, beautiful camp. We loved watching wildlife from the veranda. A bush breakfast, dinner outdoors by our tent, and a visit to the local Masai village all made the stay feel special. The food was delicious, and everyone was kind and caring. Our private guide Sacha and Daniel were a pleasure to spend our days with. Maria and William were friendly and helpful throughout. Thanks to everyone at leopard hill, we hope to see you again soon!

Esmey is a fantastic guide, and the other guides were top notch too. They tailor visits to what guests are interested in. The rooms are comfortable, with roofs that retract so you can look at the night sky. Food ranged from mostly very good to excellent, including for vegetarians. I'd gladly come back.
