Lily Palm Resort has a romantic feel and a few useful comforts, including rooms with a refrigerator and air conditioning. There’s free internet access, plus a pool and breakfast, which make a nice break in a busy day.

It’s a beautiful place, with lovely views and a great setting for couples, photos, or a vacation. The WiFi is really bad, though. It’s no good for working or even receiving calls, and they need to improve it. If you want to work remotely during your trip, this isn’t the place.

I first came about three years ago and ended up returning three more times because that visit was so good. I usually don’t repeat trips, but I loved the resort and services, especially when I came during off-peak season. The food was great, staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was clean and tidied every day. I had a wonderful time around the multiple pools and on the beach. It’s right on the white sand, which is breathtaking at sunrise. I made lots of local and international friends there and still keep in touch with them. I loved my stays. I hope the standards have held up.

The pool was great, the location worked well, and it felt like good value. Booking was easy and check-in simple, with friendly front-of-house staff. The restaurant pizza was good too. The spa was average, but reasonably priced. The cocktails arrived lukewarm and barely had ice, and some menu items weren’t as described. We were given one small bottle of water at check-in, with no restock for the whole stay. The worst part was staff around the pool chatting up women. Every one of us felt uncomfortable at some point. I know people can mean to be friendly, but being pestered while trying to relax isn’t okay. Staff asked us for photos and to hang out, then lingered.
