Temple Point Resort

We spent five lovely days here. There's a small private beach with a bar, and the rooms are cosy with views of Mida Creek. The food and service were excellent, whether ordering à la carte or eating at the buffet. Breakfast was especially nice, with a good range of bread and cold cuts.

The rooms look nice and the place seems to have had a recent renovation. Reception was great, and the rest of the staff provided five-star service. We've been to this restaurant twice, though, and the restaurant experience was a zero for us. We were two Kenyans dining with a group that included white people. They were given menus, while we sat for almost 30 minutes without being served. We finally walked around and found the buffet ourselves. It's shameful that this still happens. The food was also a bit bland. Racial bias is completely inexcusable. Do better.

We spent a couple of days here with friends and business partners. The rooms are beautiful, and there are plenty of lovely little spots in the natural surroundings where you can sit and relax. Service was good and the food excellent. Lichthaus is a real gem, with a great atmosphere and tasty barbecue.

The Swahili dinner was a good night out. There wasn't a huge selection, but everything they did have was delicious.
