Pivo bar is only about 100m away and has what I think is the best beer in the country. That was the main bright spot. The owner was nice and spoke English, but our room still wasn’t ready at 18:30, and no one came to greet us. I had to call twice to wake up the tenant. The place was dirty and needed maintenance, including the bathrooms, lobby, and sinks, though the sheets and towels were clean. The photos also gave us the wrong impression: the restaurant shown is behind the hostel and isn’t part of it.

I paid 700 so'm a night, so it wasn’t expensive. The hostel is clean and nice, close to the center of Bishkek, and the people staying there were kind. There’s a roomy outdoor area with a bench and sofa, where I could leave my bike easily. I had a good stay and recommend it.
