USSR Hostel

The owner was incredibly helpful. On my last day she personally made sure I was awake and had a taxi booked for the airport. It’s a simple check-in and check-out, with everything I needed, including a washing machine and air conditioning or heating. I slept without any problems. The place is cute and clean, and really feels like a home away from home. I’d choose it again whenever I’m in Bishkek.

The hostel is right in central Bishkek, which was really convenient. It’s clean and homely, with a kitchen and washing machine, and the staff could answer all our questions and arrange transport. They were very kind and welcoming. We had a really nice stay and would say it’s worth visiting.

We spent almost a month at USSR Hostel, and I’d happily tell anyone who gets the chance to book a room and enjoy it. The double room was outstanding, and the six-bed room has lockers with keys. The bath tub was magnifique! It’s central and well connected to the city’s main attractions. The staff are lovely, helpful, and ready to answer every question. There’s a fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine, too. Five stars don’t feel like enough. I’ll definitely be back for the Kyrgyz summer and hope to stay here again. Wonderful.

The building really gives you a feel for the Soviet era, which is why I chose this hostel. The rooms and bathrooms are fairly clean, and the staff are always helpful.
