We booked online and traveled all the way here, only to be told we couldn’t stay without carrying a marriage certificate to prove we’re married. It was nearly night, and we had to find somewhere else because they wouldn’t let us stay. This has never happened to us in any other country, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, the Middle East, or anywhere else.
It’s a clean, pleasant place at a reasonable price, and there’s secure parking for motorbikes. The owner’s daughter speaks English. Several food shops are nearby, including one that sells beer. Dolce Vita restaurant is about 300 metres away, with good food, beer and wine, and low prices.
The rooms and bathroom were clean, and there’s a lovely courtyard full of flowers. The owner and staff were very nice and hospitable, and the rooms are cheap. It isn’t far from the center, but there’s not much around in the evening, no supermarket or street food if you want a late bite. The room was very hot on the night I checked in, and I found the place a bit hard to locate on the map. Since it’s behind the main street, they should put up a sign there.
Spacious rooms, great hosts, and really clean throughout. I’d come back 🙂
The air-conditioned rooms were super clean. A great licensed Italian restaurant is only a five-minute walk away.
