Yurt camp Sonun

A quick walk, about two minutes, gets you to the lake for a swim. The yurt is roomy and comfortable, with its own shower and toilet, plus coffee and tea whenever you like. The views are incredible, and both the food and staff were great. Those few days in Kyrgyzstan felt so wholesome.

The homemade meals had plenty of variety and were delicious, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to step away from everyday routine. I spent three nights in this beautiful Kyrgyzstan yurt. The hosts were warm and welcoming, with a smile and care for all the little details. It was clean and comfortable, decorated in an authentic style, with breathtaking views all around. Highly recommended if you're after a truly authentic experience.

The lakeside setting is lovely, and the swings are a nice touch, but for the price the yurt feels quite rustic. Other accommodations offer better value. Outside summer, even in late April, bring a sleeping bag and expect more of a tent or camping experience than you might have had in other yurts. The last yurt on the left could use renovation: its door doesn't seal fully, so strong wind gets inside, and its only plug is used by the small heater. The hotel should give the yurts some care and put a large heater in each one.

Clean and straightforward. Each yurt has its own shower and toilet outside, and the beds are very comfortable. It's a great resort near the lake.
