The place is incredible, and the team made us feel so good. A real gem. And a special tip for anyone staying there: get a massage with Mr POV at the spa. He’s one of the best massage therapists I’ve ever met, and I’ve had hundreds of massages around the world.
Don’t miss sunset at the bar. The view is stunning. We loved staying at Six Senses Krabey, especially our private, beautiful Hideaway villa, which was so restful. The restaurants served excellent food and wine, and everyone was kind, helpful, and understated. The service was exceptional wherever we went. Our guest relations man Vechaka went out of his way for us. My partner was ill during the visit, and he brought medication and kept checking on us even after we’d left. He also set up an amazing table overlooking the bay and sunset, which made the trip special. The hotel was gracious in every way. We highly recommend it, a little paradise on earth.
Summer took me island hopping, and the excursion turned out to be well worth the price, even though I initially thought it seemed a bit expensive. The room was amazing, the GM and team were kind and went out of their way to make things special, and the spa was world class. The food was delicious too.
For guests who haven’t stayed somewhere like this before, Six Senses Krabey Island is an easy recommendation. It’s an incredible splurge, and for that kind of once-in-a-lifetime trip, I’d call it 12/10. I’m writing this more for people who regularly visit ultra-luxury resorts like Amanoi and Datai and notice the finer details. We’re a couple in our early 30s, no kids, and stayed five nights in early December 2025 in the entry-level Hideaway Pool Villa. We expected very attentive, white-glove service, including staff knowing our names by day two. The villas are among the best in Southeast Asia, with excellent design, privacy, and comfort. The one caveat is the pool temperature. It’s refreshing and very swimmable, but not heated. If you prefer 26 to 28 degrees, you may find the 22 to 25 degree water a little cool. 10/10 otherwise. Service deserves special mention. Our GEM, Vecheka, was warm, perceptive, attentive, and flawless. The service across the resort was some of the best we’ve experienced in Southeast Asia. 12/10, yes, that good. The beach seems misunderstood online. It’s small, pristine, quiet, and the water is clean and good for swimming. Since all the rooms are pool villas, it was often completely empty, which felt wonderfully luxurious. It’s not Amanpulo, but it’s very good. A private picnic on a stunning, postcard-perfect beach made the whole experience even better. 9.5/10 with the picnic. Some activities are better than others. A private picnic on an almost deserted island was unforgettable. Kayaking was less inspiring and outsourced to a third party, which makes sense logistically for a resort this size but was still a little disappointing. If you already know mangroves, you can skip it. Ask the GEM what suits the season and you. 8.5/10. The food is much better than its reputation. Claims that portions are small or food is overpriced are mostly wrong. Quality was excellent, with local produce used throughout, and the resort was flexible: if the open restaurant’s dinner menu didn’t appeal, they offered dishes from TREE, AHA, and even the Double Dip lunch menu. Only one restaurant is open at night. A three-course dinner was usually £75 to £100 per person, reasonable for a resort of this standard and by London prices. I wouldn’t choose full board, which is expensive. Breakfast, a light snack, and dinner worked well, and we never left hungry. 9.5/10. The airport transfer from KTI is worth booking, even though it isn’t cheap. The one small snag was finding the driver. There’s no permanent Six Senses desk, which is understandable with so few arrivals, and the driver was waiting outside rather than in the terminal. Once we found each other, everything went smoothly. 9.5/10. The gym is small but well designed, and the spa is beautiful with excellent treatments. The atmosphere is private and calm, just right for relaxing. This is a phenomenal resort and belongs on a serious luxury traveller’s bucket list. It’s our favorite resort in Southeast Asia so far.
Jing was my GEM, and Saron even climbed the rock during dinner to take a picture of us from the top. The whole team made a real effort to make the stay special, and it definitely elevated my birthday. Thank you all. Not much else to say, just see you again soon.
