Ny Ka Smy Hotel

I've stayed here often before, but this visit was a real disappointment. Water came into my room in the morning. I can't recommend this hotel anymore.

We made it work for two nights, though we nearly changed hotels. It's an okay place for what you pay, with AC and hot water, but it was smoky, musty, and not very clean. The bathroom has the shower, toilet, and sink all in one room, so everything gets wet.

The location is the main plus, especially if you're waiting for a visa at the Vietnam Embassy, which is very close. This was our first hotel after arriving in Cambodia. Our room was spacious and comfortable overall, but there were a few problems. There was often a strong smell in the lobby, sometimes incense and sometimes mosquito repellent, likely because there were so many mosquitoes at night. Smoking is allowed on every floor, and the cigarette smell often reached our room. We had to put a towel against the gap under the door to limit it. The location works well for a Vietnam Embassy visit, but anyone sensitive to smoke or strong smells may want to keep that in mind before booking.

A convenient, nice place near the Russian Market, and good value for the money. It was perfectly clean, they provided free water every day, and the front desk staff were friendly. My one suggestion would be to put a kettle for hot water in every room.
