The place itself could be lovely, but my stay was a letdown. I booked a premium suite and got a smaller room instead, then watched that booked room go to someone else who arrived after me. Renovation work was going on in several rooms, with water shut off all day, so there was no shower, toilet, or handwashing, plus drilling and construction noise throughout the day. They really should close while doing work like that. The supplies felt cheap too: a very thin bar of soap, no tissues, just toilet paper beside the cups and glasses. It came across like the owner didn’t care. I can’t recommend it in this state.

If you’re looking for somewhere quiet away from the city bustle, this could suit you. There are both cheaper and pricier rooms, so ask to see each kind and choose what works for you. The price was good, and it was clean enough, though still a bit under construction when I visited. I expect it’ll be much better next time. The wet ceiling in our room needs fixing, though I can’t speak for the others. The staff were 10/10. Good for a quick stop, and fine for a longer stay too.

Even with the hotel full of tourists during the Water Festival holidays, the staff made a real effort to help me feel comfortable and welcome. The place was clean and spacious, and I had a lovely stay.
