Stung Sangke Hotel

I booked through Agoda and was given a room with no window, something they should tell guests about beforehand. Luckily, I only had to stay one night before going to Siem Reap town the next day. There weren’t enough sockets either: one behind the TV table, one in the bathroom, and another attached to the clothes cabinet.

The breakfast was a waste of time: there was no choice, the hot food was cold, and the cold food was warm. The whole place looks like it belongs in a horror movie, and the beds looked as if someone had already slept in them. Rooms, especially bathrooms, seem decades overdue for renovation. It’s a run-down mess with warnings about drugs and prostitution on every room door, giving it the feel of an hourly motel. Avoid it.

Breakfast was basic but satisfying, and the staff helped with questions about local attractions. The rooms were spacious, quiet, and comfortable, with practical furniture and dependable air conditioning. It was also easy to get to nearby markets and the town center, making this a useful base for a short visit.

It’s easy to find in Battambang city, and the room was nice, comfortable, and cool with the A/C. There’s also a pool where you can enjoy the view from up high. Breakfast came with good service.
