Bamboo Bungalow

It takes about 25 minutes to walk into the city, but the setting is quiet and surrounded by nature. The view is peaceful and quite pretty. My room was cozy, a little small, but had a comfy bed and a big bathroom with warm water. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

We loved staying in the boat room overlooking the lake. It’s small but has enough room to enjoy, and while the bed felt a little hard at first, I got used to it. The air conditioning was great. The restaurant serves delicious, inexpensive breakfasts and meals, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend a lake room!

The room art was pretty questionable, especially for a family room. Make up your own mind, but the girl in the gold picture looks like she’s in a state of bliss. I also found the bathroom a letdown, with very basic shower accessories. The air conditioner drain ran across the floor constantly, and fitting a metre of hose would fix it. This was another mediocre stay that could be much better with a little thought and effort. My impression was that the owner had hired young, inexperienced staff for very little pay. I hope I’m wrong, but that’s how it came across.

The riverfront terrace is truly majestic, and the little lodges give the hotel a lovely, distinctive feel. The staff were very kind, and the traditional bungalows are charming. We had a timeless sort of stay, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. A wonderful discovery, absolutely perfect, I recommend it 200%.
