Chateau d'Angkor La Residence

We had a large apartment with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a separate kitchen and a big living room, so there was plenty of space and privacy. The rooms are exceptionally spacious. The pool is large and clean, and a lovely place to relax after exploring. Breakfast had a delicious selection, and the staff were welcoming, attentive and genuinely friendly. Chateau d'Angkor La Residence is beautiful and right in central Siem Reap, yet set on a very quiet street. It’s easy to reach everything while still enjoying a peaceful atmosphere. Parking is convenient and free inside the fenced, guarded property. We’d highly recommend staying here.

The beds were extremely comfortable, and breakfast was a great way to start each day. We used the pool daily. The facility is beautiful, the staff are wonderful, and the location is great. They were very accommodating when we needed to change rooms. Just note there’s no elevator.

The bedrooms stayed reasonably quiet despite being right in the heart of the city, and the air conditioning and fans handled Siem Reap's heat well. We booked a two-bedroom apartment for four adults sharing twin beds. There was plenty of room to spread out, with a large living area and a decent kitchen. The high ceilings and detailed finishes made the space feel complete. The rooms looked a little dated, though they had modern amenities and electronics. One improvement would be lower curtains to help with energy efficiency. There were two bathrooms, one ensuite with a shower and bath, and another with just a shower. Hot water came through quickly on demand. Breakfast was decent, served in a spacious restaurant with a small change of dishes each day. Our schedule was too tight to try the pool.

Breakfast was a highlight, with a tasty buffet of fruit and hot dishes, plus Khmer noodles made to order. The staff were helpful and arranged a remorque for our Angkor temple visit, as well as a private transfer to Phnom Penh on departure day. We stayed three nights as a family of four. The rooms were huge, the kitchen had a few basic supplies, and the location was handy while still being lovely and quiet.
