Three years after our trip, I still think fondly of the two nights we spent at Khmer House in Kep in 2023, which is what brought me back to finally leave a review. The host and his family welcomed us so warmly and were patient and kind throughout. Their homely, hygienic food reflected that same warmth and helped make the stay memorable. I remember their lovely labrador, too. I hope everyone at Khmer House is doing well. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kep!

The rooftop breakfast was a lovely way to start the day: simple, tasty and cheap, with good coffee and the sun rising behind the hills. The guesthouse is a little out of the way, but we enjoyed cycling into town and back on the free bikes available next door. It took us around 25 minutes to reach Kep City, and less to get to the beach and crab market. If you can, visit the beautiful national park. Khmer House is run by a sweet family who were always there to greet us with a smile and check if we needed anything. Our room was gleaming, the bed comfortable, and the AC and fan kept us cool at night. The shower was okay, with fluctuating temperature, but quite nice in hot weather. We'd highly recommend it for a few peaceful days slowing down and enjoying Kep.

The upstairs restaurant is a nice feature. My room was quiet and very clean, the WiFi worked well, and they provided free water. The AC worked well too.

There are free bicycles for guests, which came in handy, and the nicest dog! Our room was clean and had amazing views. I'd definitely recommend breakfast at the attached restaurant.

It's a little far from Kep town and the beach, but there are free bikes to use and I believe scooters are available to rent. The upstairs restaurant is nice and good value. I stayed a few nights recently and found the rooms really clean and comfortable, with good value overall.
