Blue Shore Pavilion

We loved the camping feel here, even though the rooms are basic. Our tent was much larger than we'd expected, clean, and had what we needed, including a fan and a socket. The staff were friendly and helpful, and you can hear the ocean from the room, which was amazing. It's a great spot if you want somewhere a little different, though you are very much among nature.

The bungalows are clean, the facilities are basic, and the staff are friendly. WiFi didn't work at all. The bigger problem was the noise from the beach bars right by the rooms. They played loud, terrible music until 4 am, and earplugs made no difference. I booked three nights but left after one because I barely slept. I feel bad for the owner, since I don't think this is their fault, but I can't recommend staying here if you want an enjoyable holiday.

The huts and beds are spacious, and getting to the beach is easy. But if you want privacy or a good night's sleep, look elsewhere. The walls are very thin, and several nearby bars and parties play extremely loud music and bass late into the night. There was karaoke and different songs at once, so hearing the ocean wasn't happening. It was only possible to rest after 2 am. Great if you want to drink and party, but I wish I'd known and chosen a quieter beach. The room had electricity, a fan, free drinking water, and separate shared showers and toilets. Some soap was missing, there was no hot water, and the shower towels were microfiber. Bring a beach towel, and maybe your own pillow. The mosquito net had holes and barely covered the bed, and the air could get sticky. We didn't get a warm welcome either.

For the price, it's a pretty good deal. The rooms are clean and charming, and the beach is only about 40 metres away. It can get a little hot, but that's part of the setup. The only snag was that Blue Shore's WiFi didn't work, so I had to use the one from the lost boys.
