Palm Beach Bungalow Resort

The bungalow was comfortable, and Palm Beach’s surroundings are beautiful. We especially liked unwinding at the restaurant by the sea. The resort-organized boat trip was a lot of fun and worth the price, one of the highlights of our stay. We’d happily come back. The motorbikes could use better maintenance. Every bike we got had a problem: two had flat tires, one was inflated and the other replaced, and another had a loose muffler that rattled unpleasantly. It didn’t affect the ride itself. We were surprised there was no paid option to refill water bottles. I understand the business side of selling bottled water, but a more sustainable choice would help avoid so much plastic waste.

We ended up here by chance and had a wonderful afternoon and evening. The managers and staff were so accommodating, and you could tell they were happy to work there. They paid attention to little details, which I appreciated. The food was top notch, and the beach bar’s happy hour was amazing, from 2-6pm, if I remember right. A little slice of paradise. We came over from the owner’s other bungalows on Sok San beach for cocktails. Roy and his wonderful wife offered us a free evening stay because building noise might disturb us. We gladly accepted. That was a fantastic gesture. It’s a marvelous venue, with staff, cocktails, food, and atmosphere all 10 out of 10. We’ll all be back. Thank you so much.

The resort and its surroundings are absolutely beautiful, it felt like paradise. I also took the boat trip. It lasted a few hours but felt like several days because there was so much packed in: snorkelling, jumping off the boat roof, fishing, a barbeque, and, last but definitely not least, swimming with bioluminescent plankton.
