River Dolphin Hotel

The food was a real highlight. The woman who cooks is amazing, and her spring rolls are the best we've ever had. We ate here every night and got a discount. The staff are lovely, friendly, and helpful. We stayed for 10 days, and the hotel has a rustic feel. The room could use a fresh coat of paint, but the bed was comfortable and we had a large balcony. It's about a 20-minute walk from town or a cheap Tuk Tuk ride. When our Tuk Tuk to the bus station didn't show up on departure day, the owner drove us there in his car, which we really appreciated. I'd highly recommend the place.

I stayed here one night in early 2022 before kayaking on the Mekong river to see the endangered Irrawaddy dolphins. My room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed, though I wouldn't call it modern. The staff were very friendly. When I couldn't sleep, I ended up having a couple of hours of conversation in Khmer with the security guard outside. If you want a safe hotel on a budget, I'd choose this place.
