Having such a good breakfast every day meant we could make it through most days without stopping until supper. The quiet, tree filled courtyard was a relief in the middle of a big city. Jin San, the manager, was super helpful and helped us out when our stay needed a lot of flexibility. There’s a laundry business across the road and a big supermarket a few minutes’ walk away.

The welcoming feel stood out as soon as I walked in, with soft neutral colors, lovely local artwork, and rich fabrics all working together. Sarina Boutique Hotel feels carefully put together, and the whole stay was a delight. It’s more than just somewhere to sleep.

We chose this Phnom Penh hotel for a staycation mainly because we wanted a swimming pool, and the room itself was spacious and comfortable. But after a rat ran past our feet and fell into the pool, it climbed out and headed toward the room beside it. My wife is terrified of rats and kept screaming, while the staff either didn’t know what to do or didn’t act. The rat hid in a crack by the pool, and everyone just left it there. My wife was too afraid to leave our room after that. Breakfast was frustrating too. Food wasn’t replenished promptly, and the coffee mug was so tiny I had to refill it about a dozen times. The street was noisy and the location wasn’t great. We’d seen very positive Google reviews, which seemed suspicious, but decided to try it anyway. We didn’t have a good experience.

The breakfast had lots of choices and was delicious, and the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere made the stay especially nice. The rooms were spotless, service was excellent, and the price felt like great value. Sarina Boutique Hotel exceeded my expectations.
