I was riding from Saigon to Phnom Penh in September and paid 50K KHR ($13 USD). They provided two bottles of water, and let me bring my bike up to the third floor, which is the second floor by Western standards. There was a house gecko in the room, but they’re harmless and can keep pests down. The AC worked well and the mattress was firm. The toilet was tiny and VERY basic, with no toilet paper. The woman at reception doesn’t speak English, so use a translator.

They put me in a ground-floor room, so I could bring my bicycle inside, which I really appreciated. The room was quiet, clean and fairly comfortable, with aircon, and cost USD 13. It felt right for the price and sits back from the main road. There’s a cafe with very basic food options nearby on the main road.

We loved the cat and made a point of giving it attention. The family made us feel very welcome, and the aircon was good with hot water in the shower. We’re cycle touring from the UK and needed somewhere to stop before riding into Phnom Penh. It’s basic, but excellent for the price. We’d seen some earlier reviews that made us unsure, but we’d definitely recommend staying here.

For $12.50 you get your own room with AC, a towel and water at a nice temperature. The family are very welcoming and do their best to make things work for you.

The shower was great and the staff were friendly, but there was black mould all over the room. It also got very noisy overnight.
