4 Rivers Hotel

The location is great, but the service didn’t measure up. There’s no laundry service, and when I asked if they could arrange an outside laundry service or call someone, they just gave me an address and told me to go there myself. The owner came to my room to discuss it and even asked me to speak French instead of English, which was rude. The balcony’s sliding door isn’t soundproof, so it feels like you’re sleeping on the street. They should install soundproof windows.

I picked a quiet room inside on the second floor because 4 Rivers is on a busy street facing the Mekong River. It’s also quite near most tourist attractions. My room was clean and well maintained, with a small refrigerator, TV, AC, safety deposit box, electric kettle, bottled drinking water, and a hot water shower heater. There was also shower gel and a toothbrush and toothpaste, plus more. The staff were welcoming and polite.

There’s plenty of street food around, and the shopping malls are a few hundred meters away on foot. The riverside view gives you a good feel for the mighty Mekong. The place looks a bit old, and the rooftop bar is nice but quiet and only open for a short time. Don’t hesitate to tell the staff what you need so they can help make your stay as good and safe as possible.

Both receptionists were friendly and helpful, and my room was clean and nice. It had a great lake or river view. The hotel is centrally located on the Riverside. It’s worth going up to the skybars on the top floor for a drink, and the views from the upper floors are worth it. I enjoyed my stay.
