DE Hotel

The reception man was really rude, always angry and yelling at customers. The hotel was super dirty, and the bed wasn't clean. The upper dorm bed was so cramped you couldn't even sit straight. Don't waste your time and money on this hostel. Phnom Penh has lots of better options.

Don't come here, it feels like a scam. I arrived to find the hotel closed, even though it was still listed on booking.

I stayed because the bed was comfortable and smooth, and the AC, Wifi, and bathroom water pressure were good. There was shampoo, shower gel, and a toothbrush too. No bath mat or slippers, though I guess that's what you get at this price. At least I would have liked a room without bugs. There were cockroaches in my room, and the place needs a deep clean. The outside of the windows was really dusty, and under the bed I found bits of trash. The bathroom floor was still wet when I arrived late in the afternoon, so it wasn't an early check-in issue. A tiny cockroach greeted me when I first came in. I figured it might have just wandered in and let it go. The room smelled strongly of cigarettes the whole time, even though it was supposedly non-smoking. On my last night, two bigger cockroaches showed up. It was too late to check out or ask for another room. I couldn't kill them at first, so I laughed and took a photo, then got serious and committed cockroach murder. There was a microwave on the ground floor that I thought I'd use once, and, surprise, there was a cockroach inside that too. This sounds like a joke now. I wish it were. If you can afford it, stay somewhere else. Two stars because I'm still alive.

The rooms are clean and modern, the WiFi is solid, and the place is professionally run. Good value for money. You can leave luggage there after checkout if needed. Parking is out front, with chains for securing bikes overnight. It's very close to Victory Motorcycle rental and lots of good restaurants.
