Blue Lime

The hotel could use a serious clean. It looked like it hadn’t been dusted in a long time and had a grimy feel that took getting used to. Fortunately, the sheets and towels were always clean and smelled nice. The staff were really sweet and helpful, and the pool, room balconies and AC were good amenities. Location was pretty good too, around the corner from a Big C and not far from everything in the main city.

I had a really bad stay and wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The room air conditioner wasn’t cold, the ceiling fan was very dusty, and there was a smell of feces and smoke from the street outside. Mosquitoes were everywhere around the place, so I couldn’t sleep well. I also heard strange noises while trying to sleep, as if there were spiritual objects in the room, which was very scary. I booked 2 nights but only stayed 1 before leaving this hell. The cleaning needs a lot of improvement.

The pool is lovely to come back to, the location is absolutely great, and the staff are fantastic. This was my second time at the Blue lime, after first visiting in 2016, and I still loved it just as much. It’s a gorgeous little oasis in the middle of Phnom Phen. Some reviews mention that the rooms need improvement, and mine did show signs of wear and tear with a few maintenance jobs needed. But it was clean and very comfortable, and I felt really comfortable travelling there on my own. I’d definitely stay again.

We were getting bitten by mosquitoes all day, and there was litter beside the pool. The pool and rooms were both unclean. The stairs could be hard for older people, especially since nobody helped with our luggage. We also had no running water, and after 10 hours the hotel still hadn’t dealt with it. We left for Onederz Hostel instead, at half the price. This hotel needs some love.
