Eco Garden Residences

The food has a great variety, and the ingredients change daily, so they can make different delicious dishes. It's best to ask for a recommendation. The swimming pool is great too. They use salt instead of chlorine, which they say is to protect our skin. It's a nice place to get out of town, rest well, slow down, and gain some clarity and focus.

There’s a lot to like here if you want a place to unwind on vacation. The rooms are huge, with a nice kitchen for cooking and lovely views outside the window. There’s a pool, an elevator, and plenty more. I could go on for pages, but I was really impressed.

I spent two nights here. The room was comfortable, the hotel felt modern and peaceful, the Wi-Fi was strong, and the gym was great. The reception staff were just so-so. A few things let the stay down: I’d emailed to ask for a king bed, but they gave me two twins instead. Housekeeping left my used tea bag, the pool water tasted a little salty, and there were lots of mosquitoes in the restaurant at dinner. Also, you can only pay by credit card at the restaurant if your bill is over USD25.

The room itself was clean, but the rest of the stay was a mess. They kept $129 as a deposit, which included my change after I paid $79 and handed over an extra $100. The fridge list was wrong, and breakfast was awful. There was no promised buffet, just a two-page menu. One egg was raw and another was rotten. We also got three seafood fried rice dishes, but the seafood had gone bad and we couldn't eat them. We sent the food back and weren't offered anything else, so we checked out and went somewhere else to eat.
