For good, cheaper local food and $0,75 draught beer, turn right from the hotel, then right again at the big junction. Along the main road there's a great variety of eateries, including a surprising number of Indian restaurants serving Tandoori chicken. The hotel is on the river promenade, right by Phnom Penh nightlife. That scene can be quite ugly, so if it's not your thing, stay in during the late evening, or at least avoid heading that way. It's also an easy walk to the National Museum and Wat Phnom. About 800 mtrs ahead, the Meking takes a breathtaking turn, fascinating early in the morning or evening. As for the hotel itself, it's the most basic option you could choose.

The rooms are nice and big, and this is the most comfortable bed I've slept in so far in SEA. My one complaint is that the shower and toilet aren't separated. If you shower before bed, your feet WILL get wet when you get up in the middle of the night.

The location is good, but a few things made the stay annoying. Water pressure was really weak, the corridors were always dark, and after checking in it was hard to find my room.
