Okay Boutique Hotel

We recently left some money in the safe, and manager Mr Huo Pov handled its return very professionally. I've stayed here many times, which says plenty. The rooms have a Cambodian feel, though they're a bit dated by Western standards. The rooftop bar is excellent, and breakfast is pretty good for Cambodia. One safety concern: the surround at the children's pool should be raised so people don't slip on the wet floor. The price is hard to complain about, but remember you get what you pay for.

The rooms are large, the staff are great, and the rates are inexpensive. The lobby has a pagoda-like look, and the rooftop pool comes with a breathtaking city view. It's very quiet despite being just steps from the main sights in Phnom Penh, including Mekong Riverside, National Museum, and Royal Palace. For us, this is the best value hotel in town. We'll be back.

The rooftop view is breathtaking, and the facilities were amazing. The lobby design is what really stunned me, it feels like a mini museum, with Khmer culture and Hindu and Buddhist religion all brought together so well. Having the rooftop there also saves you a trip to fancy rooftop bars. I'd definitely recommend it for a future stay in Phnom Penh.

The dogs outside were a nuisance, though that's out of the hotel's control. The tuk-tuk drivers outside were a pain too, so ask for Chea, message me for his number. Lovely guy. Huo Pov was really helpful and arranged our airport transport. Reception inside is really pretty, while the rooms are a bit tired, though for the price I can't complain. The pool and bar are really nice, and a cold draft beer at day's end was very welcome. Breakfast wasn't the best, but we were happy with the fresh eggs they cooked and the fresh fruit. For something different, Toni’s Bassac has a huge buffet with all local food, very interesting, about 10 minutes by tuk-tuk. I'd go to this hotel again. Many thanks, Tracy.
