Ostro Hotel

I’ve been staying here for two months, and it’s very well managed. Housekeeping is great and the rooms are nice. Nita at reception is wonderful. She’s always helped me with laundry and changing money, and even took me shopping after work for something I didn’t know how or where to buy. Thanks to everyone for taking such good care of me. Ten stars ✨

The staff were the highlight, extremely accommodating and efficient. The rooms are new, very clean, and have all the facilities you need. Right in the heart of Phnom Penh’s riverside, it’s a lovely place to stay for nightlife and sightseeing.

I checked out right away and moved to the Sun and moon hotel down the street, which was much better. This room was filthy and smelled bad, with stains on the walls, furniture, and bedsheets. Baby cockroaches were running around, and the toxic smell made it hard to breathe. There was even half of a used Q-tip waiting for me when I came in. The photos are really misleading, so don’t expect the room to look like them. I’m not sure how this hotel gets good reviews.

The staff were very nice, and the location is good for partying, but it was very noisy. My room didn’t look clean when I first saw it, but I decided to stay. Then I found around ten hairs, which looked like pubic hair, across the bedsheet. I complained, and they came to check and saw I wasn’t making it up. They gave me another room, a bit cleaner with okay sheets, but it smelled of cigarettes. I don’t recommend it.
