The pool wasn’t available, though we weren’t planning to swim anyway. Apart from that, I’d highly recommend this budget hotel. The rooms were neat and clean, and the food was fresh and tasty. Most staff spoke very good English and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. From the moment we arrived, the whole team treated us like family. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and they did their best to accommodate every request.

The owner and her staff were so friendly and helpful, always happy to do what they could for guests. Our large, comfortable rooms were cleaned daily, and the restaurant served varied meals that were really good. The hotel is only a short tuk-tuk ride from the main attractions in Phnom Penh.

The restaurant meals were good value and had plenty of variety. Rooms were a good size and cleaned every day, and all the staff at Raksmey Sou Hotel made us feel welcome. We’d book again when we return to Phnom Penh.

From my balcony I could count about 30 different food stalls, with Khmer BBQ everywhere. All those lights and the smell of smoky barbecue made the food look and smell mouthwatering. The BBQ is so good, I can’t really put it into words. Traffic makes it a bit noisy, but the smell more than made up for that for me. This is a top hotel in a local area rather than a tourist one, a good choice if you want to be among locals. It’s probably not for families, since there isn’t much for kids to do. The staff really can’t speak English, but that’s okay given the neighborhood.
