Riverside Hotel Phnom Penh

Edit 2: I gave it another try, and this time it was back to what I liked on my first stay. Fair price, good location, clean, and the staff are nice and helpful. I'd definitely recommend staying here. Edit: I was really happy when I stayed in November 2023, so I thought I'd return this year. That turned out to be a mistake. I paid $70 more per week for a worse room, and the 100% increase in room prices this year doesn't feel justified. Maybe the owner should focus on keeping standards up at one hotel rather than running two average ones 🤔. The people working there are still awesome, but that's about it.

I’ve been to Cambodia and checked this hotel out thoroughly. It’s a very good hotel.

The bar has a nice range of drinks, big screen TVs, and a decent pool table. The staff were friendly and efficient. I’ve only had drinks here, so I can’t comment on the rooms. It’s in the middle of the nightlife area and a stone’s throw from riverside, so expect some noise at night.

The room was better value than I expected, and I slept well every night. There was plenty going on outside, but I couldn't hear it from inside. Even the TV seemed to be set up with only the good channels! The staff were attentive. My only complaint is that they were a bit too easy on the eyes..! I talked with a few long-term residents, and they said the price seemed reasonable for the features and location. I could have stayed forever. It's my first choice if I'm in pp again, and I'll definitely be back.
