Hôtel Cyclo

We cancelled our stay for a few reasons, though I doubt Agoda will refund me. I expected steps up to the rooms and wasn't expecting anything fancy at this price, but the room was dark, dingy, and loud because of construction. The bed was much too soft, there was no top sheet, and the blanket was scratchy. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom, just a roll at the far end of the room. The dealbreakers were no in-room safe, which I consider a necessity in a major city, and the laundry service. When we asked about laundry, we got a confusing answer and were directed to what we think was a laundromat down the road. We had chosen this hotel because laundry service was listed as an amenity and we desperately needed it. When we said we were checking out and cancelling, the staff seemed genuinely upset. I explained why we needed laundry done, but got another different and confusing answer. I know it's a budget hotel, but we've had lovely stays in similarly priced rooms in Cambodia and Thailand. As for Agoda, I can't seem to cancel through its website, even though the confirmation information mentions cancellation. I don't recommend booking through them.

The Indian food and service are really impressive, and we'll be back this trip for another fix of delicious comfort food. Happy hour has 50c beers and other cheap drinks too. Strongly recommend this place!

I've been eating at restaurant Cyclo every day, and the food is fabulous, a real blast of flavor each time. The Indian dishes make you want more. I can only recommend it.

If you're looking to sing and drink all night, this place may suit you. There's a bar, but we couldn't sleep: they made noise until 3am, then started again around 6am. They don't seem to have house rules or regulations.
