Shangri-La Phnom Penh

The decor was nice, the staff were nice, and breakfast was good. But the air conditioner blew straight onto the bed, which seems like a remarkable design flaw for an expensive hotel. It also made odd noises now and then. There's only a Chinese restaurant, so you'll need a taxi for anything else. The neighborhood was unpleasant for walking, with foul-smelling streets and lots of pros@itu&e lounges. I wouldn't choose ShangriLa again.

This is just about the lobby bar. We enjoyed the handcrafted drinks, the great view from the 49th floor, and especially the friendly service from Seyha. Friends had told us the happy hour was amazing, and I wish we'd gone sooner. We'll be back.

The pool was fantastic, though it only gets sun until around 2pm. The rooftop gym has loads of space and options, and the sauna was lovely. I went every day. Breakfast had enough variety for everyone, and the rooms were quiet, modern, spacious, and still felt brand new even though the hotel was almost a year old. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the beds were super comfortable. We stayed five nights and loved the views from this hotel, one of the tallest in the city. Reception is on the 48th floor and the pool on the 54th. Thanks to Marco for helping us with food and activity recommendations. We paid $155 for two people, which was a great price. Getting in and out was easy, and tuktuk is the most comfortable way to get around. I'd definitely come back. Thanks for giving us such a lovely home.

The food was delicious, and the service was amazing. This beautiful new hotel is right in downtown Phnom Penh, close to everything, so it's a great spot for tourists and anyone who wants to stay in the inner city. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautiful. I especially liked the gym and rooftop restaurants.
