Stay Sweet

I felt safe and well looked after the whole time I was exploring Phnom Penh on my own. Mr. Panha was a caring host who went out of his way to help, with local advice and support that made a real difference. I felt very welcomed and will genuinely miss them all. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well equipped, with a real home-away-from-home feel. His partner makes amazing food, and the coffee was easily the best I had in Cambodia. I also appreciated the fresh fruit and all the thoughtful touches. They offer free filtered drinking water, try to buy organic products when possible, avoid unnecessary plastic, and clearly choose higher-quality, more responsible options. Mr. Panha can arrange pickups and kindly took me to the airport for a very good rate. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay at Stay Sweet. If you’re considering it, don’t hesitate to book.

We stayed here as a family of three in March 2026, and had a lovely time. The hygiene was 10/10, the rooms were big, and the beds were comfortable. Keeping the AC on low overnight worked really well for sleeping. I’m a light sleeper, though, so earplugs might help with motorbikes going past at night. There are little Khmer restaurants within walking distance, and the staff are lovely. I highly recommend this boutique Guest house.

Panha was amazing, helping us with everything from arrival through the day we left, always kindly and with a smile. The staff were all friendly and attentive. Our spacious room was spotless and comfortable, and the warm, peaceful feel made it easy to relax and recharge. It really felt like home away from home. I’m very happy with our stay and would happily come back. Highly recommended!

Panha was a lovely host and made sure I got safely to the homestay. He welcomed me with local fruit and shared local specialties during my one night there, including his rice wine. The place is on a quiet street away from the city center, and the rooms are spacious with great beds. It takes around 25 minutes to reach the center, longer at rush hour, especially heading back around 5-6 PM. That wasn’t a big problem for me. Usually a friend cooks for residents and visitors at the caffee, which gives Panha time to show guests around the city or take them to the Killing Fields. Unfortunately his friend was in Siem Reap for the weekend, so he couldn’t do that during my visit. I really recommend this homestay!
