The Penthouse Residence

I’ve been here for six months with my girlfriend and would come back. The rooms are good, the bed is comfy, the gym is excellent and really cozy, and the spa area is nice too. Everyone is super friendly, especially the security guards, and the elevators are very fast. The rooftop pool is cool, but because it’s also the restaurant, I don’t feel comfortable bringing my own drinks, especially with the food and drinks being quite expensive. Same goes for the rooftop bar: the 360° view is excellent, but you’re paying for it, around $6-8 for a drink. Aeon mall is right across the street. For good restaurants on Bassac Street, you need to walk or drive about 1 km. There’s nothing good nearby.

There’s nowhere suitable for guests to park a bicycle, and the hallways smell of cigarettes.

For nearly two years, I’ve been renting the weekly meeting space here. I’d strongly recommend it for business workshops, events, and training.

The long waits for the elevators are a daily frustration, and they really need to adjust the settings to cut that time down. The customer service staff on the 24-hour line can be quite rude and seem not to know how to deal with customers. We’ve been living here for a couple of months into a one-year contract, but the condo doesn’t feel warm or welcoming, and we feel quite unwelcome. It’s a shame, because the Residence is in a great part of the city. It’s also at the higher end for pricing, so I expected management to take better care of tenants. Even with the prime location, I’m giving it one star. Home should feel warm and welcoming, and this place doesn’t give us that.
