Kha Vi Guesthouse

At the “fine dining” Indian restaurant “Bollywood,” I ordered a margarita and waited while the staff spent 10 minutes searching the bar bottles before saying they had no tequila. I got up and pointed out the bottle they'd missed. The drink they finally served was red and tasted more like a Singapore Sling. They don't seem to know what they're doing. The food was okay, but I wouldn't hurry back.

I stayed two nights because I wanted to be in the area, and two nights was too long. Don't trust the room descriptions: mine was run down, the aircon didn't work properly, and the old mattress had springs I could feel. There was no mirror in the bathroom. Food was expensive for such small portions, and drinks were extortionate.

A phone was stolen from the room. It was small, the sheets were dirty, and the shower was bad. Nothing to recommend.

The first time, I got the room I had reserved, and the room and bathroom were clean. On my second visit, they said the person in my reserved room hadn't checked out, so they downgraded me to a dirty, bad room with no window, a spring mattress, and a shared bathroom. Never again.
