Angkor Heart Bungalow- Private Pool

After a hot day visiting the Angkor sites, taking a dip in the pool back at the bungalow was just what we needed. The place was clean, cool, and comfortable, and the grounds were lovely. Each time we returned, there was fresh fruit and a few little cookies waiting for us. The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and outstanding. Angkor Heart Bungalow is only a short tuk-tuk ride from Pub Street. I’m so glad we picked it as our base in Siem Reap!

The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, and they brought towels to the pool as soon as we arrived. There are two lovely pools, and the rooms were spotless with very comfortable beds. We also got fruit platters, a free mini bar, sweet treats, and a lovely gift when we left. The continental breakfast was huge! Phare circus is just across the road, and tuk-tuks are always available for Pub Street. The rides are free between 5 and 9pm, or cost just two dollars. You can also book temple tours through the hotel. It felt like a five-star resort, and everyone made our time in Siem Reap so enjoyable. We’d stay again in a heartbeat! 😊😊

We’ve just finished a fantastic four-night stay. Nana was the heart of the place: he greeted us every day with a genuine, bright smile and stayed cheerful whatever we asked. He handled everything professionally, from arranging an excellent driver, Heng, to giving us a free transfer to the Larryta bus terminal and letting us check out very late. The attention to detail from the team was hard to beat. Towels and pillows appeared at our sunbed as soon as we went outside, and fresh fruit, cake, cookies, or coconut juice arrived on our balcony or by the pool each afternoon. Breakfast was excellent and always on time, and the laundry service was great too. The hotel is by a busy road, so it can be noisy. For a longer stay, I’d suggest asking for a wooden bungalow. The service itself was a perfect 10/10. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We booked the Angkor Wat trips through the hotel and were really glad we did. Our guide and driver, Sokkhen 🫶💯, took us to some places that standard tours don't usually include. They adjusted the schedule to suit us, which mattered in the heat with a child, and supplied water and cold towels. For sunrise, breakfast came along too. We spent six nights here. The first was in a private bungalow with its own pool, around 200 meters from the main area. It was lovely and peaceful, but traveling with a child, we would have preferred a shared pool. The staff made changing to another bungalow the next day very easy. That one was clean, roomy enough, and beside one of the two pools. The pools are a good size for swimming and kids, and never seemed crowded while guests were out on tours. Meals were convenient to have on site. Breakfast had a decent choice, including Continental and healthier options like muesli, and the à la carte dishes were good too. We liked the terrace where meals are served, and the friendly, attentive staff were always around. Coming back from tours to fresh fruit or coconuts was a lovely touch. There can be road noise, along with the usual traffic, roosters, and dogs. Siem Reap is growing quickly, so construction and heavier traffic were noticeable at times. The rooms, beds, and property feel a bit dated, but were fine for us. We'd recommend staying here.
