Elysium Suite

The room situation was frustrating at first. We didn’t get the room we’d booked, and it didn’t look like the photos. After we spoke with the staff, they arranged a twin room with the view we wanted. It wasn’t the king bed we’d originally booked, but was better than the ground-floor room they first offered. Breakfast had limited choices, and the location is a bit far out. While we were waiting to check in, another guest shouted at my friend. There wasn’t an ashtray by the pool, and we hadn’t been told whether smoking there was allowed. An older woman came over yelling at us to get an ashtray and called us little jerks. I told the staff about it.

For $27.90 including tax through Agoda, breakfast included, I thought it was a great deal. Everything was good during our August 2025 stay with my wife and child, who was under 3. My one small concern was the refillable water bottles. For hygiene, I’d personally rather have sealed single-use bottles.

We had a delicious breakfast, and the afternoon happy hour was great, with an excellent bartender. The room was beautiful and spacious, and the staff were wonderful. I’d love to return for another swim in that lovely pool.

The staff are lovely, and the beds are comfortable. It’s quiet outside the center, and the rooms are cozy when everything works. After I complained about the near-overbooking, they let me stay, though it was 11 pm and a stressful situation. The owners seem to allow overbooking, as other reviews mention. My first night the AC made a loud noise. I moved rooms on the second day, then found there was no hot water, but the staff fixed it right away when I told them. No other issues. It can be a great place if you get a good nightly rate. I’d recommend it more to families or couples than solo travelers.
