GZ Eden Privilege Resort and Spa

With only a small number of rooms, the stay feels intimate, and the staff provided five-star service throughout. The rooms are cool and comfortable, breakfast has a huge range of options, and there's a lovely shuttle into the city. It's also close to Angkor Wat temple. A great choice for families or couples, highly recommended...!

The hotel has a charming design and a quaint, quiet, relaxed feel, with excellent service and good food. The air conditioning took a while to cool the room, but it was comfortable once it did. Hot water pressure was low, though that may have been just our room. A couple of things seemed within the hotel's control. The room TV has a type G plug, but the wall outlet is type C, and there was no adaptor. The pool had turned green, perhaps because the hotel had been empty for the previous few days. It only has six rooms and it was low season. We stayed two nights, and were told the pool would be cleared on our checkout day, which it was. I've had similar issues at another hotel in a similar country. Some may come from a lack of resources or support, but others can be addressed. I still gave it five stars because I think these few minor issues will be dealt with quickly.

The rooms at Padi villa were very big, clean, and tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, with delicious Indonesian Bali cuisine served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Thanks to the manager for arranging my stay.

Husnel arranged my tour to Ankor Wat, which was spectacular, and organized spa treatments too. One of the massages was among the best I've had. Chef Mujianto planned every part of my time there, and Chef Muliant made me a personalized menu each time I sat down to eat. The food was spectacular, and there was so much of it that I felt bad I couldn't finish the five-course meal. The place is a renovated traditional Khmer manor home, now a boutique resort with uniquely designed rooms facing a relaxation pool. You feel like family as soon as you walk in. My main reason for visiting was Ankok Wat, but I was so impressed by the Cambodian people and how pleasant and welcoming they were that I'll go back.
