I felt like a king here, even though I'm not :). The staff were so helpful, and the place was quiet and good for relaxing. The rooms had great furniture and lovely details, while the architecture and atmosphere were unlike other hotels I've seen. To me, this was the best place to feel the spirit of Cambodia.

After travelling extensively, I still found this the most marvelous place I've stayed. The grounds were gorgeous and immaculate, with a fragrant flowering tree outside our balcony, fountains, a beautiful pool and frogs croaking. It felt authentic and full of atmosphere, at a very reasonable price. Staff were friendly and helpful while giving us space. We ate both Khmer and western food, and it was all good. We took the Tuk Tuk around and finished with a spa visit.

There's a huge space filled with lamps, statues, plates, silk and other decorations. Many pieces seem traditional and maybe antique, though I'm no expert and can't be sure. Some items are made in Cambodia, China, Myanmar and Vietnam. I'd recommend a visit if you're interested in exploring traditional culture.

Montra Nivesha turned out to be fabulous, with wonderful staff, two pools, a great breakfast, and some of the nicest rooms and facilities we've stayed in. We ended up there because this hotel was closed for renovation. We hadn't been told, so arriving with three young children at a building site was extremely confusing. If you're booked here, you'll need to go to the sister property a few streets away.

After a hot day visiting the temples, this boutique hotel is a lovely retreat. The pool, bar, food and spa were all good and reasonably priced. Friendly staff and high standards throughout.
