Local eateries are right across from the hotel and along the sides, and the central market and night market are quite close. Maybank and ABA banks and ATMs are also just across from or beside the hotel. The airport is about an hour away when there's little or no traffic, as it is for most accommodations. The place is spacious and nicely decorated, with roomy wood-furnished rooms. There's a pool and gym, and an iron and board are available on request. Breakfast on the go is available near the main entrance for an early start. Staff were really nice, regularly checking our comfort and making sure we had a lovely stay.

The beds are pretty basic, though the rooms are clean and the staff friendly and helpful. It's actually a very nice hotel. There's a spa with a cold pool, a hot pool, and a small sauna, but none of them were open when I went by.

The Khmer cooking class was fun, and even though we booked it at the last minute, they worked around our schedule. I also found the couples massage relaxing, just what I needed after long flights. The pool area was lovely and suited kids, couples, and our rowdy group of young adults. The hotel is beautiful and within a quick walk of many city sites. Staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. I'd stay here again if I return to Siem Reap.

The tuk tuk drivers out front were great. Nara was especially helpful with our family on tours around the area, and our personal assistant, Kimsinh, handled bookings and helped make the stay a full 5 stars. Breakfast was really good, with a great range of cuisines. Staff were amazing, attentive, and helpful, and made us feel welcome as part of a big Somadevi family. The rooms were beautiful, well maintained, and clean. I've stayed at Somadevi twice, first with my partner in 2009 and again a few weeks ago in 2025 with my partner and our three children. The first visit was great, so we came back. I highly recommend the resort, especially for families.
