Le Tigre Hotel

I'd hoped for a big pool after seeing the pictures, but it was small, a bit neglected, and dark at night, unlike what the website showed. It was disappointing, though I could let it go. The rest of my stay was comfortable: I found the hotel on Agoda for a last-minute trip, and the price was affordable. The staff were warm and welcoming, and my room was clean, cozy, and simple. The bathroom had a quirky charm that felt unexpected beside the bed. The owner plays chess, and there are boards for guests who want a game.

The room stayed quiet even with plenty of restaurants and bars close by, and the hotel can arrange tours around Angkor and the surrounding area. The staff were friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with whatever you need or want to know. It's a beautiful place in Siem Reap, not far from Pub Street. Rooms are spacious and well equipped, and there's a clean pool and a bar where you can get coffee.

After a day at the Angkor site, the swimming pool is especially welcome in the evening. The hotel is a few minutes' walk from Pub Street, with plenty of good restaurants nearby. Rooms are fairly large and quiet, and the staff are wonderfully helpful and can arrange whatever you need. The friendly, chatty French host makes delicious bread and croissants for breakfast.

The WiFi was the main frustration. It was very slow. The rest of the stay worked well: the rooms and bathrooms were clean, with daily cleaning while you were out, and the bed, sheets, and strong air conditioning were comfortable. The shower and bidet had good pressure, the water got hot, and a safe was provided with a lock, though I'd bring my own. They also supply a universal power bar for travelers, which is great. The area is convenient, with the street's restaurants and shops often cheaper than the Old Market tourist area. Pub Street is close enough, but the hotel is away from its noise. The pool and bar at the front were clean, and the staff were friendly, helpful, spoke English very well, and had someone there around the clock. Book tours through them, they're cheaper than the street options. It was quiet apart from roosters calling in the daytime.
