The location made exploring easy: Maison 557 is peaceful but only a 5-minute walk from the main center, with restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies nearby. I also used their recommended tuk tuk driver, Mr. Chea, for temple visits. He was professional and punctual, and kindly had cold water and fresh scented towels for me after each outing. Touring Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples was even more enjoyable with him. My room had an outdoor shower, a refreshing and memorable feature. The rooms are all thoughtfully decorated with their own touches, giving the boutique hotel a warm feel. Breakfast was included and delicious. Gaultier, Joan and Sovann went beyond what I expected, genuinely caring about my comfort and making a real difference with their kindness and attention. Everything from the design and service to the location exceeded my expectations. Iβd stay again in a heartbeat.

The owner was kind and made sure I was comfortable and enjoying my stay. He also happily let me check out late. This is a great B&B in a colonial house tucked into the middle of Siem Reap, within walking distance of Pub Street, the night market and the Siem Reap River. Just make sure you close the doors properly, or the room can get lots of mosquitoes.

The room was much bigger and cleaner than I expected, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. It feels like a great deal. My only awkward point was that the toilet area had no separate door π. I'd recommend staying here π

The location made it easy to walk to lots of bars and restaurants, and both the air conditioning and hot water worked well. The rest of our stay was a letdown. The place may once have been a lovely bed and breakfast, but it now feels worn and unpleasant. Bugs and several mosquitoes got into our first room even with the doors and windows shut. They moved us, but the toilet seat in the new room was detached. We asked for three days to have it fixed, then eventually got them to tape it down. The bed was much too hard, the curtains had holes, the floor and rugs were dirty, and breakfast wasn't great.

Joan greeted us so warmly when we arrived, and then surprised us with an upgrade and our own pool, even though we'd booked a standard room for two nights. The owners were wonderful, the rooms were lovely, and the location was great. We had an amazing stay.
