Realkhom Homestay

We had a wonderful stay at Realkohm Homestay with Chhy and his family, and we’d happily return. The food there was delicious and very reasonably priced, with vegetarian choices too. It’s a quiet place a bit outside the city center, but getting into town is easy by tuk tuk or on one of the bicycles you can borrow from the homestay. Chhy, the owner, speaks very good English and is incredibly kind and helpful. He surprised us with an upgrade to a room with a balcony. After many years working in a hotel, he clearly cares about keeping rooms clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The location worked well for Angkor, especially a sunrise visit. We weren’t sure which temples to see and wanted to avoid the big tour buses, so Chhy arranged Chan, a tuk tuk driver he’s known for a long time. It was a great choice. We really enjoyed talking with Chan, who shared interesting information about the temples, Cambodia’s history, and daily life in the country. He was relaxed and funny. We took the small temple tour for around $18 one day, then a larger tour the next day, including the Lady’s Temple, for around $30. It was absolutely worth it.

The host was very friendly and the service was good. The room was clean, the AC was cold, and there was hot water. This is the best guest house I’ve ever been to. If I return to Siem Reap, I’ll stay here again. Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️

Such a good small homestay, with good room prices and a convenient location from Siem Reap Angkor International airport. It’s also about 25 minutes from the temple area and near Pub street. The staff and owner approached me directly while I was traveling in Siem Reap. Highly recommend!

I spent a few weeks here relaxing and enjoying the area. It was beautiful, peaceful, and calm, a little way from downtown, which suited me. The hosts were friendly and always greeted me with a smile. There are bikes and scooters to use, and the vegetarian food options were delicious. Thank you so much!
