The Nature

The pool area gets a little crowded now and then, but it wasn’t a problem. The pool is just big enough for a few easy laps or a quick cool-down dip. Staff were incredibly friendly and kept checking whether they could help. Lee, who welcomed us, even brought us some mangos from our home to try different recipes. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, with lovely natural decorations around the hotel. It’s a bit outside the city center, about a five-minute drive in. There aren’t many local restaurants or shops nearby, so it’s worth being prepared for that. A lovely little hotel.

Our family spent four nights at the Nature in one of the Twin Villas. It was a favorite for us, even though we travel a lot. The villa was great, with two balconies and a small private pool. Staff were amazing, friendly, and quick to respond to anything we needed. It’s a little outside downtown, which makes it nice and quiet. A courtesy tuk-tuk gets you to Pub Street in about 10 minutes.

After a busy day in town, it was nice to come back for a peaceful lunch, a swim, and some time to recharge before heading out again. The pool was relaxing, and a tuk-tuk ride was $1.50 USD each way. The hotel sits just outside the city and has nice accommodations, great hospitality, and a super staff. Rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. A perfect place to stay.

Getting into town took around 35-40 minutes on foot, and I didn’t find it very walkable. The hotel does offer a free one-way tuk-tuk in the evening. I would have preferred to stay within walking distance, especially because I didn’t think the hotel food was particularly good. In my opinion, the cafes and restaurants in town offer nicer food and better value. Breakfast was $7, which isn’t unreasonable on its own, but for that price I could get a much better breakfast and coffee in town, for example at The Source. I mostly ate elsewhere. The Google listing also needs updating, since breakfast isn’t free. The breakfasts here seemed expensive for their quality compared with places like The Source, Sister Srey, and Little Red Fox. The room and staff were lovely, and the rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and good value. The pool area was lovely too. I really can’t fault the room or the staff. Ta, if I’ve spelled that right, and my tuk-tuk driver Daro were both great. I also had laundry done for only $5, and my clothes came back fresh-smelling and looking perfect. The hotel has a special feel of its own. On my first night, a tuk-tuk driver gave me a kitten, and the hotel kindly let it stay in my room. Unexpected, but they handled it so kindly. I called the kitten Banana, after my room name.
