The Urban

Breakfast wasn’t included in the room rate, though you can buy it if you want, and that wasn’t a big problem. The pool area is lovely, with just a few loungers beside the pool and more in a grassy area nearby. They’re very comfortable, which feels a bit luxurious. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is clean and modern, the rooms are large, and the decor feels carefully planned. All the staff were friendly and kind. Many seemed to be in training, which was nice to see, and they all did a great job while we were there.

Those beds were unbelievably comfortable, and I found the rooms clean and nicely equipped. The Urban also gave me a great sense of value, especially because the staff were so attentive and proactive. I’ve stayed in plenty of places on recent trips through Thailand and Laos, and this was the best all-round stay of them. What really stood out was how personally welcoming everyone was. Staff remembered my name, greeted me with “Welcome Home” and a cool cloth when I came back from exploring Siem Reap, and even offered complimentary afternoon tea. I planned on five nights and wound up extending three times, staying fifteen. The location worked well both for exploring and remote work, with restaurants and other services close by. The Wi-Fi was steadier than at a lot of places I’ve used lately. One evening my room’s A/C had a problem, and maintenance came quickly with a front office staff member I recognized and got it fixed. I appreciated how fast they handled it. The team clearly takes pride in their appearance and the property. That kind of hospitality often feels like something you only get at a five-star place. A few people especially deserve a mention: Sam was respectful, organized, and led by example. Ra brought a calm, kind, positive attitude that guests and coworkers seemed to appreciate. Meng was patient and cheerful with every request, large or small. Daro was friendly and informative, and helped arrange my departure day. Sith managed a very busy checkout with a steady, professional manner that kept things moving and eased guests’ stress. A good room might bring someone in, but the service here is what would make them return. Thanks to everyone for such a wonderful introduction to Cambodia. My experience at the hotel even persuaded me to extend my time in the country and see more of it. I hope I can come back someday 🙏🏽🪷🙏🏽

I was genuinely sad to leave. Sam was waving us off as we boarded the bus, which felt like a fitting end to a stay where everyone was so warm and attentive. The manager and all the waitresses, cleaners, ground staff, and receptionists were friendly and helpful, always smiling. I’ve never had service this thoughtful before. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

They helped us arrange a tour to Angkor Wat, and it was great. We also loved the restaurant, which serves good food throughout the day. The hotel is ideally placed for exploring Siem Reap, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were so friendly and exceptional. This was our favorite hotel experience ever, and I can’t recommend it enough.
