Christy, Sok, and their kids made the week feel welcoming and family-like, with meals, drinks, and laughs around the big table. I still had privacy in my bungalow, which was great while I looked for an apartment in Siem Reap. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook full meals, including a full-size fridge. The mattress was the most comfortable I've slept on in Southeast Asia, and the big couch was just right for curling up with a book. Cozy, peaceful, and full of real hospitality, it was a bright spot and made arriving in a new city much easier.

Just a short 10-minute tuk tuk ride takes you to the river area with its restaurants and shops. The owners are wonderful hosts who make you feel at home. The apartment is clean, modern, and comfortable for either a short or long stay. It's a leafy, green Airbnb with local charm and plenty of character.

We came for four nights and ended up staying eleven. Christy and her family are wonderful, and it felt like home. The place is relaxed and easygoing. We booked Sok for a couple of excursions and had a great time.

Those three dogs were the highlight for us. They'd come sleep on the stairs by our room and wait for cuddles. During our stay, someone left a bag of newborn puppies in a nearby field. Christy and her family bottle-fed them and helped them survive. Superheroes! We stayed almost a month and loved it. Christy and her family are so friendly, and the room was very clean, which matters a lot to us when choosing places. It had air conditioning and a small but well-equipped kitchen.

The private bungalows are beautifully furnished and tucked into lush gardens. It's off the main roads, along a quiet path that feels connected to the soul of the country. There's a shared space to say hi to the family and pets, and they treat you like family while still respecting you as a guest. Real people. This is what Siem Reap has to offer. I'd give it a dozen stars if I could.
