I finally slept through a night without earplugs, something I hadn't managed in a while during my trip around Asia. The rural setting is a little outside the town center, but getting transport is easy and cheap. My room was spacious with a lovely view of the pool. Kim picked me up at the airport, and the service stayed warm and friendly right through the goodbye waves. For breakfast I prefer local food over Western options, and the soups and noodles were filling and tasty. I also tried several dinner dishes, all good, and especially recommend the curry.

We ate Cambodian food for breakfast and really enjoyed it, and you can order food for lunch and dinner too. I stuck with Asian dishes because I love that kind of food, though I saw other guests ordering cheeseburgers and other American food, and it looked good too. The staff, like the manager, were kind and professional. Mr.Kim was always ready to help or give useful contacts for travel. The rooms felt like big, comfortable suites with a minimalist, chic look. Wi-Fi was very good, with a strong signal everywhere and just one password for phones, tablets, and computers. The swimming pool was huge, almost like a lake, and the water was warm and without chlorine. It's a quiet place to stay for a couple of days and think about your Cambodian trip. Outside the lovely resort, the area might give you a bit of a shock, it looked like Beirut to me. But the resort always had a free shuttle minivan taxi available for guests to go to the city center, market, airport, or anywhere else in a few minutes. Good service! I've spent 40 years in Asia, and I think Cambodia will be one of the best countries for holidays on a modest budget, with kind, smiling people. It reminded me of Thailand 30 years ago, with one important difference: Cambodian people all speak English well. I just arrived from Thailand, and in year 2560, 2017 for Catholic people, many hotel and restaurant workers there still didn't understand English. I'm glad I learned Thai when I was in the diving school business 30 years ago. Otherwise, at my age, I'd be going crazy there! I think this resort is a good place to start exploring beautiful Cambodia. The seaside, including Kho Rong and other lovely islands, isn't far. They need our help after the country's troubles in the past, like Vietnam and other neighboring Asian countries. So if you trust a 60-year-old man who's spent 40 years in Asia, welcome to Cambodia. I love it! Happy holidays to everyone already here! Your MARIO

We found the peace and relaxation we needed at Tresor d'Angkor, and had such a great time there. Breakfast each morning was something to look forward to, and the hotel also serves authentic, delicious Khmer and Western food for lunch and dinner. Staff were always on hand for anything we needed. They can arrange lots of activities, including the Angkor Tour, Khmere massage, an outdoor cooking class, and an Apsara show. Just ask the hotel staff, they're always happy to help. We highly recommend Tresor d'Angkor Suite. Until next time... ❤️

The staff were great and the place looked nice, but that was about all I liked. We had two nights, and the internet was down for around eight hours of them. When it worked, downloads were only about 4mbs. The road there was a mess of deep potholes, and since the hotel is far from everything, the advertised free bike rental would have been useful. I didn't see any bikes anyway. The free airport pickup never happened, despite several emails. The listing said there was a bar, but there wasn't, not even wine, only beer. Breakfast was called a buffet, but it was really just bread, croissants, and a few kinds of fruit. There were around a dozen other breakfast items on the menu, which isn't the same as a buffet. Dinners were okay, although they seemed confused when we wanted to eat as early as 6pm, and we had to wait until 7pm. Construction behind the hotel was noisy, and the rooms were so poorly sealed that it sounded like the hammering was inside our room. A lot of false advertising. I wouldn't stay here again.

The rooms and pool have a nice design, but service was poor. They don't take credit cards, and staff don't speak English well. The road to the hotel is uneven, making it hard for guests without a car. My room's TV had been removed, and they didn't care when I reported it. Breakfast was very basic, with only a few items.
