Udaya Residence

We liked the breakfast and dinner here, and the staff were helpful. The hotel is clean, with a nice pool. It’s a little outside the center, though you can walk to Siem Reap bar street. We came as a couple and plan to stay here again when we return to Cambodia in a few years.

All the rooms face a big swimming pool at this small, peaceful boutique hotel. The rooms are spacious but pretty basic, and there aren’t enough conveniently placed outlets, especially by the bed. Breakfast is simple and very good. The little cafe/bar has friendly staff and a good range of drinks. Deniz, the owner, is friendly and has a great approach to keeping things minimal while still providing good service.

The front desk team were so kind and handled all our many requests, going well beyond what we expected. We haven’t found that kind of attitude anywhere else. Our room was clean, roomy, well furnished, and came with all sorts of amenities and complimentary items. The pool was well cared for, and the 5 to 7 happy hour was a nice way to unwind after a long day at Angkor. We spent 4 nights here and came away thinking of it as one of the most memorable holidays we’ve had.

Everyone was welcoming, with smiles and friendly greetings, and the large pool is right outside each room. We had a pleasant stay. The one downside was that the restaurant prices felt a little high.
