The staff really made our stay. They were attentive, helpful with tour bookings and local information, and their English was exceptional. They were happy to help with anything, and we can’t thank them enough. We loved our week at villa indocina d'Angkor. The room was standard, with a good bed, fridge, kettle, and nice bathroom. Having robes made it easy to walk down to the amazing pool after a long day exploring Angkor wat. The food was good and reasonably priced. The hotel is about a 15-minute drive from Angkor wat and a 30-minute walk from the centre. Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper, the KTV across the road played loud music until pretty late.

The family room had two sleeping areas, which worked great for the three of us. Breakfast was good at $5.50, and it was nice to have a small pool on site. The hotel is outside the main Siem Reap areas, so basically nothing is within walking distance. Looking back, I’d choose somewhere closer to Old Town or Wat Bo.

The poolside restaurant served delicious fresh Khmer food, Western options, and a good breakfast spread, all at reasonable prices. We ate most of our meals there. The pool itself is gorgeous, with a swim-up bar for ordering cocktails, and it was blissful to relax there with a drink after exploring Angkor Wat. The staff were the friendliest we met in Cambodia, maybe anywhere. They greeted us with big smiles and welcome drinks and snacks, and helped with every request, from sunset temple tours and local hidden gems to meals adapted for dietary needs. We felt like family. We spent a week at this lovely resort-style villa. It’s downtown, about a five-minute drive from Pub Street, markets, and restaurants, but inside the gates it feels like a peaceful oasis. The convenience and hospitality make it a great place to stay in Siem Reap. Check your room before paying. We extended our stay several times and moved through a few rooms. One was perfect, but in several others, sewer gas escaped from the toilet drain and made the whole room smell. We had to cover it with a towel to make it tolerable. Another room was infested with mosquitoes. We borrowed their electric tennis racket and spent several hours killing literally 200 of them. We woke with bloodstains on the sheets after being bitten in our sleep.

Lovely hotel with a pool and great cocktails. They also offer lots of services, including very quick laundry and bicycles. Jing, Sophea, and Chamrong were wonderful staff and hosts.

The warm, professional staff made up for the room’s drawbacks, and the beautiful, peaceful setting was a lovely start to my time in Cambodia. I’d happily recommend Villa Indochine d’Angkor. I stayed four days and four nights in October 2025. The hotel looks just as picturesque as it does online, surrounded by lush gardens with a calm, jungle-like feel. I had a balcony-view room and enjoyed relaxing there. It’s away from the main attractions, with little within walking distance, so it’s best to arrange transport in advance. Tuk Tuk drivers are available on site, and one kind driver took me around the city at a very reasonable price. They arranged airport pickup at a very reasonable price too. My arrival was delayed by immigration for more than an hour and a half, but the driver waited patiently without complaint. He was gracious and well mannered and deserves special thanks. The front desk team, including Pisey and Sophia, plus a few others whose names I didn’t catch, were warm, polite, and helpful. I contacted them about minor room problems a few times, and they dealt with them quickly and professionally. Housekeeping and restaurant staff were just as kind. Breakfast was simple and satisfying. It wasn’t a buffet, but there was enough variety on the menu for me to switch dishes each day without getting bored. The room was decent, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, with a sweet welcome that included my name on the bed. There’s no TV, the WiFi was weak and needed restarting a couple of times, and the bathroom water stayed lukewarm. Housekeeping has to be requested, and my key card socket didn’t work until a technician fixed it.
