Villa LEAKHENA

Chenda is a wonderful man, and the villa is absolutely stunning. Everything feels extravagant, especially the beautiful pool and deck areas. We had a group of more than 20 and arranged through airbnb to hire the whole place. The owner organized everything and let us enjoy our celebratory night. The vibe is amazing, and I can totally recommend it for couples or small groups.

We stayed for three days, just a month after the hotel opened. It’s a serene, quiet place, with only around a dozen rooms and a location well off the main road. That’s great if you want peace, though there’s nothing much within walking distance. You may need to ask the hotel to call a tuk-tuk 30 minutes before heading out. Breakfast is made individually rather than served buffet-style. It’s humble but tasty, and the pool is relaxing. We accidentally booked one night too few. When we realized, the owner, Socheat, promptly tried calling other hotels to find us another room, since Leakhena was fully booked. Then he went even further and offered to let us stay in the detached massage room with a bed moved in. It was probably the kindest offer we’ve ever had from a hotel. We were very grateful, but ended up staying at another hotel in town that night. If you don’t mind being a bit off the main road, definitely check this place out.

A brilliant villa with a beautiful garden, modern and tasteful Cambodian interior design, and really lovely staff. I’d recommend downloading a map before you visit, to help tuktuk drivers find the place.
