Savada Angkor Boutique Hotel

There isn’t much around the hotel, apart from a karaoke club next door that gets very loud late into the night. The city is about a five-minute tuk tuk ride away. The pool water looked cloudy, and there was bird droppings along the sides, so I wouldn’t recommend swimming. The young staff were super friendly and helpful. Our spacious first-floor room was very clean, and housekeeping did a good job every day. The TV wasn’t working properly, but they fixed it the next day. The manager seemed like a slacker, often sitting around eating or being in the pool at night. The other staff, though, were great.

After busy days exploring, the lovely grounds and pool made this a perfect place to relax. It’s clean and quiet, tucked away but close enough to the attractions. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I hope I can come back someday.

The pool is salt water, which we enjoyed using in the evening. It was nice to go to bed without the smell of chlorine. Our first-floor room had a balcony and a pool view, while ground-floor rooms have direct pool access. The room was well decorated and spotless, and the bathroom was just as clean, with a power shower and steady hot water around the clock. We stayed two nights at Savada Angkor Boutique Hotel in early October 2022. After the long pandemic, Siem Reap was still much quieter than when I visited in 2019. It must be hard for hotel owners to keep a business running and maintain standards, but the Savada team did a very good job while keeping prices affordable. Everyone was helpful and friendly. It’s a little way from Pub Street, but only a short tuk tuk ride. I’d recommend it to couples and families, and will stay there again on my next visit to Siem Reap.

The hotel is outside town, but they offer a free tuk tuk ride into town before 7 pm. We enjoyed breakfast, and ate dinner at the hotel restaurant twice. Both times, we were happy with the food quality and the price. It’s a classy place with nice staff and a beautiful pool. A very good stay.
