Zannier Phum Baitang

Watching the farmers plough the rice fields with buffaloes was fascinating and made the stay feel memorable. The pool looking out over those fields was another favorite spot for relaxing. The hotel is about 10 minutes outside Siem Reap, a nice distance from the busy center. The villas are spaced around the property, so it feels peaceful and private, with actively farmed rice fields all around. Our room was clean and well maintained, the service was great, and there was a very good selection of delicious food. We had a wonderful stay.

We only booked two nights and ended up wishing we could stay longer. There was so much to enjoy, from biking through the rice fields to swimming in the lovely pool and watching the sunset at the bar. The restaurants served delicious food, too. Best of all was the service. Everyone at the hotel was kind, helpful, always smiling, and made us feel at home.

The spa is amazing, and the pool villas feel spacious and private. Before arriving, I was a little unsure how a place that looked like a rustic farm could be a luxury hotel. Once there, it made sense: the peaceful countryside atmosphere really suits the setting.

The setting is fabulous, and the room was spacious with everything thought of for comfort. Staff were attentive and extremely polite, and the food was great. It’s only a short taxi ride to seam reap if you want to eat out. I’ve stayed in many five-star hotels around the world, and this is certainly among my top two or three. It is expensive, especially for Cambodia, but I can see what you’re paying for.
